Primary Supply Teacher

Exeter Supply Partnership (ESP) is looking for passionate and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across our supportive network of partner schools across Devon and Torbay. Whether you are an experienced teacher, returning to the classroom, or newly qualified, supply teaching with ESP offers variety, flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in local primary settings.
About the Role
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you'll deliver high quality teaching and create a positive learning environment that supports pupils’ progress. Assignments will vary depending on your experience and preferences, and may include:
Early Years, KS1 or KS2 teaching
Covering planned and unplanned staff absences
Short term, day to day supply
Longer-term placements when available
We work closely with our schools to match you with the roles that best suit your skills, experience and preferred age groups/ location.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome enthusiastic, reliable and child centred teachers who are committed to high quality teaching and safeguarding. You’ll need:
Teaching qualification – Qualified Teacher Status (UK)
Recent or relevant experience in primary settings (references required)
A positive, flexible approach to different classroom environments
An enhanced DBS check (we can support this if needed)

Your interview will include a few formal questions, along with a conversation about your experience, what you’re looking for from supply work, and how we can work together. We will also complete the required safer recruitment checks, including identity, qualifications, right to work, and safeguarding.
